An organisation helping street people in the northern suburbs has relaunched a moral-regeneration initiative. A fund-raising dinner was held at Bellville civic centre on Friday to breathe new life into the Independent Moral Regeneration Initiative, which has been dormant for several years. TheTygerberg Association for Street People (TASP), started the initiative in 2011, but Tasp manager Jan Majied said it had taken a while to get it off the ground. Tasp was now determined to make that happen. The focus would be on building good morals, personal development and leadership. Pastor Steven Snyman, a member of the initiative, said: “The country is in need of help and healing.” Respect, integrity, honesty, fairness and bravery, would be the driving forces behind the initiative.
