The Bellville Library has a series of events planned this week in celebration of Library Week, which runs until Saturday March 19.
The theme of this year’s Library Week, Libraries4life- longlearning, is central to all the activities and fun which will take place during the week.
The week’s activities began on Saturday with local author Narcisse Kimbassa launching his book, Albanism in the Library Lounge.
“The following week is filled with opportunities for residents to have fun as they learn new skills,” said chief librarian Christelle Lubbe.
A basic computer skills workshop will be held on Thursday in the Library Lounge.
“Those who attend should remember to take their library cards to the training with them, and if they wish to learn how to use the wi-fi, they should take their own devices with them,” said Ms Lubbe.
Henna Art sessions will held for the teenagers on Friday and Library Week will wrap up with a carnival on Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. Call Bellville Library on 021 444 0300 or visit Bellville Library’s Facebook page, for more information about their Library Week lifelong learning opportunities.
